Short stories from long runs

This blog about my run and training

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

Four years after I ran my first San Diego Rock N Roll Marathon with Team in Training, raising over $4,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), I’m back to do it again and I could use your help!

So many of us know people who have battled cancer or been impacted by cancer and Team in Training has found a way to raise money for such an important cause, by allowing participants to really “DO” something when we so often feel helpless. I would be honored to have you on my journey and on the LLS’s journey towards curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma.

When I ran my first marathon in San Diego in June 2006 it was an unbelievable experience and so much richer because of my involvement with TNT. Coming around a corner in a neighborhood about 15 miles into the race, there was a man sitting in a lawn chair cheering us on, draped in a deep purple blanket and holding a sign that read: THANK YOU, TEAM IN TRAINING. I AM ALIVE BECAUSE OF YOU. I am completing this event in honor of this man and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line – a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS’s mission by clicking on the DONATE HERE icon. When you donate, post a note or send me a message if you would like me to run in honor or memory of someone you love. Also, which songs motivate you to work harder or run faster? Build up my playlist and be entered to win a $50.00 i-Tunes gift card!

I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress and visit my blog at: androshchuk.com/blog. Thanks for your support!

Love, Jillian
